Ethel Glenn Hier - Fantasy/??? MOTOCROSS VIDEOS - MOTOCROSS VIDEO CLIPS & MOTO-X MOVIES

Another mystery record. You can read the label for yourself. Is it In Memory of Helen Sears, the composer or In Memory of the Composer by Helen Sears? And then what about the title \"Fantasy\"? I couldn\'t find out anything about Helen Sears. From the look and sound of this privately made record, I\'m guessing it was made in the late 1920\'s or early \'30\'s. I\'m posting this because of one of the pianists, Ethel Glenn Hier (can\'t find out anything about the other pianist either). The following is from the net: \"Ethel Glenn Hier(1889-1971) was born in Madisonville, Ohio. At the end of her freshman year at Ohio Wesleyan University she transferred to the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, where she received a diploma in piano in 1908. In 1911 she returned to the conservatory, continuing her piano study and attending composition classes. In 1917 she enrolled at the Institute of Musical Art (later The Juilliard School of Music) where she studied theory and composition. In 1918 Hier spent the first of many summers at the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire. In the 1920s she had begun to explore the medium of chamber music, including pieces that combined instruments and voices, such as Down in the Glen and If You Must Go, Go Quickly. The range of Hier\'s work was large, from the simplest of teaching pieces to songs and piano works requiring performers of professional caliber. Her career, though perhaps modest by today\'s standards, was exceptional for her time. Her works reveal a combination of imagination, skill, and technique that make them worthy of notice and revival.\" She was a prolific composer, and interestingly, some of her music indicates that the composer was Glenn Hier instead of her full name. Outrageous that she felt the need to pass herself off as a man. Maybe some Youtubers can shed some more light on this.
